Most all of my flower shots were done using a FinePix S9100 camera. They were handheld using some techniques that I learned as a Forensic Photographer for 27 years.

When shooting closeup I set the lens for the size ratio that I want and then move my body back and forth to focus on the image - using a small depth of field.

This is a technique that I used when photographing physical evidence.
