Fuzzy

I really like taking pictures of animals.(Especially cats.) It kinda looks like he's thinking something like "Kid, what are you doing with that camera?"

This was taken with my previous camrea, a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T5.

Aaah sweet!

Jeremy, I love taking photos of animals too. Sadly I am allergic to cats so cannot have one of my own.

You did a great job by getting down to the cat's level for this shot. Us photographers do sometimes have to get into strange positions to get a good photo, don't we?

You got the exposure spot on with this, retaining detail in white fur is quite difficult but you managed it here. Great job!

I am going to guess that you had your camera set to autofocus for this one. Can you see how the bricks behind the cat are sharp whereas the cat is a little out of focus? It is best to try to focus on the eyes of the animal. But when you are close like this it can be tricky. The closer you are to your subject, the less of it will be in focus. Also when you are taking pictures indoors without flash there is limited light so you need to keep that lens open wide, further restricting how much will be in focus.

Using flash for this shot would have been wrong as you would have probably lost that detail in the fur.

A case of lots of practice and a feeling of accomplishment when you get it just right! That's the beauty of digital, you can take LOTS of pictures.

Keep up the good work.
