Waiting for supper....

Waiting for supper....

This was taken amongst the first shots after buying my new Canon DLSR Camera, it was on Full Auto mode using the 18-55mm lens. Baillee is always posing but trying to catch her still isn't always that easy - as soon as she see's you (especially if you have a camera) she rushes towards you and headbutts you!

I've found your site by following a link on Jacqui's flickr profile, I know jacquie as a fellow abyssinian breeder.

Boy! Are you going to have fun.

Boy! Are you going to have fun. A new camera and a cute model. The best pictures of my cat photos where taken lying on my stomach, which must of been comical for people driving by and seeing a fat old man lying in the grass. Be patient, and wait cats are when they are not sleeping make great subjects like Baillee. Have fun and expect to see more.

Gorgeous!
by: Carol

Gina, what a smashing photo of Baillee!

Great use of limited depth of field, whilst keeping the important bits, Baillee's eyes and whiskers in focus.

Would I be right in thinking you used a spot of flash here? Those tell tale catch lights in his eyes give it away, but don't they just add life to the portrait? Lovely job.

The exposure is spot on, with the lighter parts of his fur still showing texture and no overblown highlights.

All in all, a picture to be proud of. I would love to see more!
