Amazing desert prepared by the even more amazingly talented chef, Jim Fisher (you can find him at www.dordogne-breaks.com)
Technical details:
Lighting (the most important bit): diffused studio lighting
front left against a white background to give the basic sheen to the jam. There is also a mirror behind and to the right which gives the specular highlight on the jam. Without this mirror, the shot looked rather flat and boring.
Probably the fastest shoot I've ever done; couldn't wait to eat the subject!!
